Partial Denture Options from Dr. Giamberardino

December 22, 2011

Filed under: Restorative Dentistry — Dr. Anthony Giamberardino @ 3:21 pm

At Dr. Giamberardino’s Medford dental office, we offer a range of full-denture options for patients. All of them are effective, but not every patient needs to restore his or her smile with a full denture.  For some patients, all that’s needed is a partial denture. But like full dentures, partial dentures come in more than one variety.

The first kind of is held in place by clasps or brackets and can easily be removed for cleaning. The second kind is anchored by dental implants.

As with full implant-supported dentures, partial dentures supported by implants can provide patients with greater functionality and a natural bite. What makes this possible is the natural bond that forms between the patient’s dental implants and jawbone. Because dental implants are made from biocompatible titanium, they’re able to act as prosthetic roots, promoting the growth of new tissue in the process.

If you live in Medford, Winchester, Somerville, Malden, Everett, or a nearby community and would like to know for sure that you’re a candidate for dental implants, call our Medford dental office to schedule a consultation visit with Dr. Giamberardino.

Dental implants aren’t right for every patient, but for many they can provide the stability and functionality that’s been missing. Call us today with your questions or to schedule an appointment with Dr. Giamberardino.
